Marrakesh. The Red City. The City of Jokes. The City of Date Trees. The list goes on, Marrakesh has about as many nicknames as it does mountains surrounding it and honestly it lived up to everyone of them. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures to show for it but this city is awesome. The reason I don't have many pictures is because at night, when the city is really alive, I was too distracted to think to pull out my camera and take a picture. I blame the snake charmers, dancing monkeys, story tellers, camels, disk throws, orange juice stand hawkers and street food vendors. So on one hand I'll say sorry for the lack of pictures but on the other I think even if I had them they wouldn't do the place justice, if you really want to know you've gotta go.

My first camel sighting in Morocco. I will get a picture of me on one of these eventually.
 The Atlas Mountains

Brandon was the best climber. Getting down was the difficult part.

Waiting for a very late lunch.

The Koutoubia Mosque. Built in the 12th century this mosque whose name comes from the book sellers that once set up shop at its base is famous among scholars of Islamic Architecture for its keyhole arches and inscriptions that have inspired architects throughout the arab world.
Jamaa Al-Fena. Literally gathering of the dead this square gets its name from the live executions that once took place here. Today, however, the entertainment is slightly less morbid.
Materials for the Hammam (Public Bath)

 Oh Hollywood.
